My old visitors will remember that i photographed beach umbrellas at night in Dikili, İzmir (Turkey) about a year ago. This year i went to Dikili again and took another beach shot at night. Here it is;
By the way Dikili is a quiet Aegean town located south of Cunda, Ayvalik (Turkey) that i wrote about in the last post. Dikili is not so rich in terms of photography but it is a nice place for a quiet and calm vacation.
Cunda Island is a great place for photography. It is full of subjects worth photographing. Cunda Island has a rich culture and history. It is a typical aegean town. Cunda is an isolated Aegean island, there’s only a few modern buildings. With the old empty buildings, narrow streets and two old churches, time is frozen in Cunda since 1923. In 1923 Cunda’s Greek population transferred to Greece in 1923 Population Exchange. This is why most of the houses in the island are empty. The culture and architectural structure of the island are kept as it was in 1923. I’m sure you’ll find a lot of good materials for photography. These are some of the pictures that i took during my cunda trip;

There are too many cats in Cunda Island… Really, lots of them… You’ll see what i mean if you go there. Cunda is a cat heaven

Cunda island is in the northwest coasts of Turkey. It is in Ayvalik Town which is in the borders of Balikesir / Turkey.
If you want to visit Cunda Island, you can take a bus from Istanbul to Ayvalik. Once you reach the Ayvalik, you can even walk to the Cunda (It is an island but there’s a road connection between Cunda and Ayvalik).
After a week and a couple of days, I’m back. These are hard and stressful times for me and I’m also quite busy with non-photography related subjects. So i won’t be able to update ermany.net everyday anymore. Erman Y Photography will be a weekly website from now on. Every Monday I’ll publish a post.
During this break there was a problem about my link page due to plug-ins. I apologize from my link partners for this problem. But it is fixed now and their links are working again in the Links page.
I was planning to publish my works more but statistics show that you (my visitors) like information about cameras more than my works so i guess I’ll keep the things same.
I’m sorry for the break. I really appreciate your attention. Thank you all.
Erman
