if you don’t have enough money for complicated and expensive professional photography and studio equipment, don’t worry you have some cheaper options. You can turn daily life and not-produced-for-photography items into the studio and photography equipment. By choosing the proper equipment you can have your own home studio. Here is what you need;
You can use 500W - 1000 W Halogen Lamps which you can buy around 20-30 $ with their stands. Their colors are too hot, so you need to put a diffuser in front of the light in order to soften the light and to change the color of the light. I’m using a blue thin paper to get a color close to white. Try different colors and different kinds of paper to create different effects on your picture
Also it is better if you have a window that lets sunshine in; you can also use daylight i your studio that way.
White cardboards or wooden plates covered with aluminium foil to reflect light. You can use anything with reflective ability and that you can hold strait (like wood, hard cardboard etc.)
Go to a tailor or a local cloth store, buy cloths with different colors and different kinds. They will be nice backgrounds for your home studio.
If your walls and ceiling is white it will be good for diffusing and reflecting the lights. As an example you can bounce your flash light from the wall to soften the effect of flash light.
Having cupboards and shelves may be useful to put your equipment on. A table, extension cables and make-up supplies may come in handy in your home studio.
